How your data is handled.
Last updated 18 September 2026
This page explains what personal data shine-through.com collects, why, and what you can ask me to do with it. It is written to meet the GDPR and the Norwegian Personal Data Act.
Who is responsible
Ida Kroknes, sole proprietor (enkeltpersonforetak, org.nr. 933 299 597), is the data controller for this website. You can reach me at ida@shine-through.com or +47 452 00 066 with any question about your data.
The contact form
If you send a message, I collect your name, email address, the kind of space you chose, and whatever you write. It is used only to answer you. The message is delivered to my inbox by Resend, an email service acting on my behalf.
Booking a chat
The booking page uses Cal.com. When you book, Cal.com collects your name, email address, time zone and the meeting type you pick — and a phone number if you choose a phone or WhatsApp call. Cal.com processes this under its own privacy policy, and loading that page contacts Cal.com’s servers. The rest of this site does not.
The free guide and the newsletter
[IDA/EINAR — to review before launch] If you ask for the free guide, I collect your email address and store it with MailerLite, my newsletter provider, so I can send you the guide and occasional letters about the work. You consent by ticking the box, you can withdraw that consent at any time through the unsubscribe link in every email, and I delete your address when you do. Separately, this site measures visits with Plausible — a cookie-free analytics service that stores no personal data and cannot identify you, described below — and where a Meta (Facebook/Instagram) advertising pixel is enabled it reports page views and enquiries back to Meta, which does use cookies and does profile you across sites.
Analytics
I use Plausible, a privacy-friendly analytics service hosted in the EU. It sets no cookies, does not track you across sites, and records only aggregate figures such as page views, the referring site and rough country. It stores no personal data and cannot identify you. There is no profiling and no advertising.
Fonts
Typefaces are served from this site’s own server. No font service sees your visit, and no request leaves for a third party to load them.
Server logs
The web server keeps short-lived technical logs — IP address, time, page requested — to keep the site running and secure. Hosting is with Hetzner, in the EU.
Why I am allowed to hold it
Contact and booking details are processed to take steps at your request before any agreement — and, where no agreement follows, on my legitimate interest in answering people who write to me. Analytics and logs rest on my legitimate interest in a working, secure website.
How long it is kept
I keep enquiry and booking emails so I can pick up the thread if you come back to me. There is no fixed deletion schedule — ask me to delete your messages and I will, promptly and at no cost. Analytics data is aggregate and kept indefinitely; it cannot be traced back to you. Server logs are rotated within a few weeks.
Who else sees it
Only the services needed to run the site: Resend for email delivery, Cal.com for bookings, Hetzner for hosting, and Plausible for analytics. I do not sell your data, and I do not share it for advertising.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask me to:
- tell you what data I hold about you, and give you a copy
- correct anything that is wrong
- delete it
- restrict how it is used, or object to that use
- hand it to you or another provider in a portable format
Write to ida@shine-through.com and I will answer within a month. It costs nothing.
If you are unhappy
You can complain to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority, Datatilsynet. I would rather you told me first, so I can put it right.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it.
